Decorative Yosegi Wood-Mosaic Mousepad
Our mousepad is finished with the classic Rokkaku Asa no Ha (hexagonal hemp leaf) pattern. The various red, ivory, gold, and chocolate hues come from the natural wood colors.
Although it looks like delicate inlay marquetry, Yosegi wood mosaic is actually a type of veneer. The pattern is created by gluing together hundreds of rods of different-colored wood: cedar for red, mulberry for yellow, camphor for brown, holly for white. The wood is then cut across the grain in ultra-thin sheets of veneer.
Why not replace your ordinary synthetic mousepad for a beautiful piece of Japanese wood mosaic?
