Mini X-9 Space Robot Car with Shooting Balls
Currently out of stock
The Robot Car X-9 debuted in the late 1950s as a large hybrid robot-car-spaceship by Masudaya under its Modern Toys brand.

In 1997, Masudaya relaunched this miniature limited-edition version, the Mini X-9 Space Robot Car, in a compact 3" tall (7.5cm) model.

This new wind-up model powers along while periodically shooting balls inside the greenish dome at the front of the car while making a clicking sound. The robot sits astride the car and grips the yellow steering wheel.

The car, robot torso and head are all made of metal with beautifully lithographed windows, rockets, gear and other details. The steering wheel and the robot's arms are made of plastic.

The box cover features a charming illustration of the X-9 Robot hard at work on the surface of a red planet (Mars?).

Recommended for ages 3+.
